Hygiene and Safety
| • | Toys and equipment are regularly checked and cleaned |
| • | Floors disinfected and work tops wiped regularly |
| • | Toilets cleaned daily |
| • | Raw and cooked foods kept separate |
| • | Soiled clothing rinsed out and put into a bag to be taken home by the parents |
| • | Blood, vomit and excrement wiped clean with anti-bacterial wipes and disposed of |
| • | Hands always washed before and after eating, using the toilet or any messy play |
| • | Tissues are always at hand and children are encouraged to wipe their own noses |
Smoking
A non smoking policy is in force in my home and garden at all times and visitors are also expected to respect this.
Accident and Emergency Procedures
All accidents will be recorded in the accident book and reported to the parents on collection of their children.

In the event of an emergency parents will be contacted immediately, as well as the emergency services and appropriate action will be taken.
A permission slip will be needed on enrolling the child into my care for permission to give non prescription medical attention and emergency care.
